Collage is the beginning for much of my art.  The unlikely combination of pattern and material fascinates my eye.  Ideas may spring from a scrap of patterned paper or cloth, an image, a news story that sparks my imagination, all or none of the above. Art materials come from many sources. Simple discards like the plastic closure from a loaf of bread gain importance when grouped and arranged. Like one’s environment, my art varies.  My style may be eclectic, but the all of the work springs from the same desire to involve the viewer, cause some wonder, and evoke a new thought or a smile.
